Memberships |
Membership provides funds for constructing, erecting and maintaining nestboxes and nestbox trails, educational material, research about bluebirds, maintaining fledging reports, publishing our newsletter twice yearly, development of future programs and material to aid us in bluebird recovery.
Membership benefits include:
- Membership card
- SIBTS newsletter,"Nestbox", twice a year
- New members receive a copy of "Mountain Bluebird-Trail Monitoring Guide" by Myrna Pearman, published by the Red Deer Naturalists, Red Deer, Alberta. The Southern Interior Bluebird trail society provided some funding support for the development of this publication and we feel that it is a very informative guide for new bluebirders.. Extra copies are available from SIBTS for a fee of $5.00
- Access to SIBTS T-Shirts and Sweatshirts at near cost.
- AGM each year, with a vote and the opportunity to stand for office
- Annual fledging statistics
- Networking with other bluebirders
- Display boards available to members who are willing to have a display table at local events to show the public what we are all about.
- Support locally from regional directors
Each year an annual general meeting is held at a location voted on by the members at the previous AGM. The 2007 meeting is to be held on Saturday October 13, 2007 in Logan Lake.The exact location to be decided by the Directors and will be announced in the Newsletter and on this web site when decided.
